Art DeKaur was founded out of a deep love for Sikh culture, and a frustration at the lack of beautiful, contemporary art that truly represented it. We believe your home should tell your story. And for many of us, that story is rooted in the Punjab.

Every design we create is crafted with intentionality: from the clean lines of our Punjab city maps with Gurmukhi script, to the botanical softness of our spiritual quote prints, to the powerful bilingual typography that bridges heritage and modernity.

We're based in West London and offer local delivery throughout the area, alongside UK-wide shipping. Our bespoke service means we can create something entirely personal for you or your family.

The Beginning

Born from Heritage, Made for Home

Growing up in a Punjabi household in West London, the walls were always filled with pictures: the Golden Temple, relatives in India, blessings written in Gurmukhi. But there was nothing that felt truly modern. Nothing that could sit as beautifully in a contemporary home as it could in a traditional one.

Art DeKaur started as a personal project and became something much bigger when friends and family started asking for their own pieces. The response confirmed what we already felt: there was a real need for luxury cultural prints that honour Sikh identity without compromising on design.

Today, our pieces hang in homes across West London and beyond. Each one carries a piece of our culture, and now yours.

Every piece begins as a conversation: about the city you grew up in, the prayer that shaped you, the language your grandparents spoke. We just find a way to put it on the wall.

Returns & Exchanges

Our Returns Policy

Returns Eligibility

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for eligible items.

To qualify for a return, items must:

Be unused and in their original condition
Show no signs of wear, use, or damage
Be returned in a condition suitable for resale
Be free from strong odours, including but not limited to perfume, aftershave, smoke, cooking smells, or pet odours

We do not offer free returns. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

All approved returns received within 14 days will be refunded to the original payment method used at checkout.

Refunds are processed within 7 working days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

Returns Outside the Return Period

We do not accept returns outside of the 14-day returns period.

If items are returned after this timeframe, they will be sent back to you, and you will be required to cover the cost of return postage.

Condition & Inspection

All returned items are fully inspected upon receipt.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or issue a partial refund if the item:

Shows signs of wear or use
Has been damaged after delivery
Is not returned in a resalable condition
Contains strong or noticeable odours (including perfume, aftershave, smoke, cooking smells, or pet odours)

Where an item is returned in an unsaleable condition due to wear or odours, we reserve the right to return the item to the customer at their expense.

Responsibility for Returns

Returned items remain your responsibility until they reach us.

You must obtain proof of postage when returning items, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit. We strongly recommend using a tracked service and ensuring items are securely packaged.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If you believe your item is faulty or damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at 📧 info@artdekaur.co.uk

Please include:

A clear description of the issue
Photographic evidence of the item and packaging

Faulty items reported within this timeframe will be assessed, and where confirmed, a replacement or refund will be arranged in accordance with your statutory rights.

Postage Costs

Original postage costs are non-refundable, except where an item is confirmed to be faulty.

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items

Unfortunately, the following items cannot be cancelled, exchanged, or refunded:

Personalised or custom prints
Bespoke or made-to-order artworks
Items made to specific customer requirements outside of standard customisation options
Any artwork that cannot be resold due to a personalised or bespoke element

This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of a faulty or misdescribed item.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes are available? +

Most prints are available in A5 (5.8×8.3"), A4 (8.3×11.7"), A3 (11.7×16.5"), A2 (16.5×23.4"), and A1 (23.4×33.1"). Some designs are also available as square formats. Bespoke orders can be any size.

Do prints come with frames? +

Yes, each artwork has custom frames specific to its requirements.

How long does local delivery take? +

Local West London delivery is typically within 2-3 days and is completely free. Get in touch via WhatsApp or email and we'll arrange a suitable time.

Can I request a print in a different language or script? +

Absolutely. Many of our designs feature both English and Gurmukhi (Punjabi) script. Just let us know via the bespoke form above.

How do I care for my prints? +

Keep prints out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Framing behind glass or acrylic will protect them from moisture and dust. Handle by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the print surface.
